UGM Faculty of Philosophy held a grand reunion on Saturday, July 10, 2010. In the event that took place for one day, several events were held, including retracing the history, gatherings and night camp.
Dra. Sartini, M. Hum, Vice Dean of Students Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation, delivered that this reunion was held in simple manner. It is expected, however, that various ideas can emerge to improve the development of the Faculty. "The main point of this activity is to obtain input from alumni for curriculum development and academic activities," she said.
She added that this activity also aimed to strengthen the alumni networking which so far has not been well maintained. "During this time, the alumni network has not run well, neither has the alumni forum," she explained. Sartini said that their alumni throughout Indonesia have not yet joined an association. "Only recently was established the Alumni Association in the Greater Jakarta area. Hopefully, after this reunion, alumni associations of Faculty of Philosophy UGM can be established in every region in Indonesia," she expressed her hope.
