UGM and PT Kaltim Parna Industries Cooperate in Education

UGM and PT Kaltim Parna Industries (KPI) established cooperation in the field of education to improve human resources. The signing of the cooperation’s memorandum of understanding was conducted by the Rector of UGM, Prof. Ir. Sudjarwadi, M. Eng., Ph.D., and President Director of PT KPI, Mr. Nayouki Kimura, on Monday (11/10) in the Leadership Room, UGM Central Office.


The UGM Rector expressed pride and honor at the initiative of the visit and the signing of the cooperation’s memorandum of understanding. He said, the cooperation conducted is expected to provide benefits and support the implementation and tasks for both parties. "Since its establishment, UGM has actively cooperated with various partners, government institutions, communities, and industry. With this partnership, we hope students and UGM staff will have the opportunity to be closer to the PT KPI, learning the experience from the industrial world," he said.


In the meantime, the President Director of PT. KPI, Mr. Naoyuki Kimura, suggested that the cooperation with UGM is directed to the human resource’s quality development and improvement of PT KPI. According to Naoyuki, to develop the company towards a better direction, a qualified labor-force is much needed. "Therefore, we need support from UGM in order to enhance human resource of PT KPI," he said.
