On Wednesday (8/12), the event of World Conference on Culture, Education, and Science - WISDOM 2010 at Universitas Gadjah Mada officially ended with the Declaration of WISDOM 2010 announced by Ance Triomatra, a Bogor Agricultural University student, at UGM Graha Sabha Pramana. The Declaration was symbolically handed over by the Rector of the UGM, Prof. Ir. Sudjarwadi, M. Eng., Ph.D., to the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Prof. Ir. Jero Wacik.

Also present at the occasion was Jop Ave, former Minister of Tourism, Post, & Telecommunications, conveying the conclusion of the WISDOM 2010 event in the form of conference reflection. The closing ceremony was also attended by the UNESCO Asia Pacific Regional Director, Prof. Hubert Gijzen, Ph.D., Dr. Marcio Favilla, Executive Director of the UNWTO, and the rector/representatives of WISDOM 2010 university partners.

Minister Jero Wacik conveyed that local knowledge would be raised as a subject that can give inspiration to the world. Local wisdom, he expected, would not only inspire the world community, but also the life of every individual. "Make the local knowledge inspire each of us," he added.
