45 Treasurers of UGM Receive Achievement Award

As many as 45 treasurers of UGM received treasurer achievement award from the Yogyakarta Directorate General of Taxation. The awards were handed over directly by the Rector of UGM Prof. Ir. Sudjarwadi M. Eng., Ph.D., and Head of Regional Office of Taxation, Djangkung Sudjarwadi, S.H, L.L.M, at the University Center (UC) UGM on Thursday (20/1).

The award was given to the 45 treasurers who were assessed as good in submitting tax reports each month and conducting income tax cuts in accordance with the total budget.

Rector Sudjarwadi conveyed that this award serves as appreciation for the contribution and performance of the treasurers up to this time. The Rector expected that the award will be able to increase the performance of the treasurer into a better direction. "This certificate is a sign that you have worked well, but more importantly, you still can maintain and even improve the performance in the future," said the Rector.

Djangkung Sudjarwadi said that the award is an initiative of UGM. The bestowal of the award to the treasurer is the first time granted by his office. For the future,  he has also been asked to provide an assessment of the treasurer of a number of universities in Yogyakarta and units of the local government offices of Yogyakarta.

Djangkung added that the UGM award receipients would have special treatment from the tax office such as exemption from tax audit of 2010. In addition, if the award recipients make tax cuts mistakes in 2011, sanctions imposed on them will be reduced or even eliminated. "With this certificate, the treasurer is free of tax audit and get his/her sanctions reduced/removed if in 2011 he/she made mistakes in tax cuts," he explained.

The award recipients are the treasurers of GMC, Centre for Tourism Studies, self-help program of Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Geodetic Engineering, Center for Rural and Regional Studies, Center for Biotechnology Studies, Center for Women Studies, Centre for Information and Communication Technology Services, as well as environmental research projects.

Next are the treasurer of Center Asia Pacific Studies, public funds of the Graduate School, Integrated Research and Testing Laboratories, UUDP PAU Economics Graduate Program of PPFBAU, cooperation contract project of Faculty of Animal Science, Center of Population Studies, Faculty of Philosophy, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, and Master Program of Development Economics.

Then, there are the treasurer of Faculty of Science’s cooperation, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Faculty of Animal Science, S2 program Engineering and Systems of Transportation masters, Faculty of Geography, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Agriculture.

There also treasurer of UUDP, PPFBAU Engineering PAU, Public Administration Master Graduate program, Faculty of Biology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, LPPM, Faculty of Psychology, UPT Central Library,  Center for Social and South East Asia Studies, Management masters program, and Faculty of Social and Political Sciences.

Last but not least, there are treasurers of UGM PNBP, LPPM, Faculty of Medicine, Center for Regional Development Planning Studies, and Center for Land Resources Studies.
