YOGYAKARTA – Financial administration at Universitas Gadjah Mada in the past five years has progressed very rapidly. To improve financial performance in terms of administrative accountability and improved services, recently Directorate of Finance launched on-line financial accountability application (SPJ).
The on-line service aims to improve the professionalism of officers who deal with Advance Withdrawal in the University’s Main Office and Directorate of Finance." On-line financial accountability is to realize UGM toward a paperless office, the efficiency of human resources, and to encourage the realization of good university governance," said UGM Director of Finance, Haryono, M. Com., Akt., Monday (28/2).
To introduce the on-line program, Directorate of Finance held a training in the form of workshop and technical guidance regarding implementation of Annual Budget Plan of 2011 management for financial managers in Main Office Unit from 27 – 28 February 2011 in The Sunan Hotel, Solo. This event was attended by 60 officers, verification officers of the Directorate of Finance, treasurers in the Main Office, Treasurers of Community Fund Users, and reporting officers of Directorate of Finance. "Through this technical guidance, financial officers in UGM can implement Annual Budget Plan into the Financial Information System which has been developed by the Directorate of Finance on Advance withdrawal to the fund accountability of an activity," he said.
Especially verification officers are expected to carry out verification quickly and carefully so that human error in the accountability of funds can be minimized. "The expectation is for the next stage, we have already focused on the agenda to improve preparation of financial statements on-line," he concluded.
