This year, the Directorate of Research and Community Service Directorate General of Higher Education (DP2M Dikti) in cooperation with the University of Gadjah Mada (UGM) hold the most prestigious robotics event in the homeland, the National Robot Contest 2011. The contests include the Indonesian Robot Contest 2011 (KRI), Indonesia Smart Robot Contest 2011 (KRCI), and Indonesian Art Robot Contest 2011 (KRSI). This activity aims to develop the creativity of students, applying science and technology in the real world and increasing the sensitivity in the development of robotics in Indonesia. National Robot Contest 2011 also serves as the selection event for Indonesian delegation to the International level ABU Robocon robot contest in Thailand and RoboCup in Mexico in 2012.
UGM as one of the best universities in Indonesia expressed its readiness to cooperate with DP2M Dikti to conduct the national robotic contest in the best possible manner.
