UGM Rector, Prof. Ir. Soedjarwadi, M. Eng., Ph.D., on Tuesday, June 28, 2011, received the visit of Osaka City University (OCU) delegation. The delegation was led by former Dean of the Faculty of Business, Prof. Masaharu Ota, and followed by 20 students. Accompanying the Rector in receiving the visit, among others, are Secretary of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Didik Purwadi, who is also an alumnus of OCU, and Dr. Kuncoro Harto Widodo of the Department of Agroindustrial Technology, Faculty of Agricultural Technology.
On that occasion, Prof. Masaharu Ota provides information about his activities during his visit to Indonesia, especially to Universitas Gadjah Mada. They have three main agendas, namely (1) Company Joint Visit of OCU School of Business and UGM’s Faculty of Agriculture Technology and PT Sari Husada in Kemudo, Klaten, (2) Student Exchange Presentation and Discussion at Production Systems Laboratory, Department of Agroindustrial Technology, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, and (3) Joint International Lecture at the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, with the theme ‘Innovation Management’. Prof. Masaharu Ota expresses his gratitude for the excellent reception from UGM.
The UGM Rector welcomed the visit and expressed his appreciation to the Osaka City University for choosing UGM as a partner. The Rector hopes that the good relations that have been established can be maintained and developed in the future.
Furthermore, before leaving Indonesia, the delegation visited the Center for Transportation and Logistics Studies (Pustral), received by the management as well as the researchers and research staff. During the visit they also held discussions about public transportation, including campus transportation in Japan and Indonesia
