UGM Rector Prof. Ir. Sudjarwadi, M. Eng., Ph.D., at UGM Senate Hall on Friday (26/8), inaugurated two new officials, Ir. Adam Pamudji Rahardjo, M.Sc., Ph.D. as Senior Vice Rector for Administration, Planning, Development, and Human Resources, and Dr. Didi Achjari, S.E., Akt., M. Com., as Vice-Rector for Information Systems and Finance.
In addition to inaugurating the two new officials, the Rector dismissed Prof. Ainun Na’im, M.B.A., Ph.D. from his position as Senior Vice Rector for Administration, Finance and Human Resources. Currently, Prof. Ainun Na’im took up a new position as Secretary General of Ministry of National Education. Meanwhile, Ir. Adam Pamudji previously served as UGM Director of Planning and Development while Dr. Didi Achjari served as UGM Head of Internal Audit Unit. The inauguration of the new officers is stated in UGM Decree No. 330/P/SK/HT/2011, 332/P/SK/HT/2011, and 333/P/SK/HT/2011 in which the manuscript was read by the UGM Director for HR, Harjadi, S.H, M.M, before the inauguration.
After the inauguration, the Rector in his speech said the preservation and upholding of the UGM values by the seniors today are increasingly connected harmoniously down to the juniors and students. Thus, UGM is expected to become the seedbed of excellent talent, which will produce various kinds of superior new products, to specifically fill the leadership positions across Indonesia and the world at the increasingly complex and dynamic situation today as well as the future. "The role of UGM is highly expected because solutions to the current difficulties have been identified through the current UGM pilot programs," said Rector.
UGM programs are conducted based on intensification approach and extensification of nurturing and spreading of the UGM values through programs that more systemically reach the partners in the autonomous regions in Indonesia, with the central authority, with the industry, and partners in important international network. The Rector hopes that the programs that have been implemented and initiated, either by Prof. Ainun, Ir. Adam Pamudji, as well as Dr. Didi Achjari, which are connected to the pilot project of other UGM leadership, can continue successfully.
To the new officers, the Rector hopes to be able to take the initiative and specific role, paving the successful way of synergy between all the components in the steps of intensification and extensification of UGM values dissemination through programs of research, education, and community service. "These include various courses, seminars, workshops, consultations, in the format of non-formal and informal education in all possible space activities both internally and externally of UGM," said the Rector.
After delivering his speech, the Rector along with invited guests congratulated the new officials. The new officers will take office until July 16, 2012.
