Team of Moot Court of Constitutional Court from Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada became the runner-up in National Moot Court of Constitutional Examination from 11-13 November 201. Meanwhile, the first winner was Andalas University team and third place was held by team of Parahyangan University.

In the final competition organized by the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia, UGM team competed with nine other delegates from various universities in Indonesia. Ten teams passed the national contest this time, they are representatives of their regions from 35 universities throughout Indonesia. In addition to UGM, nine other teams, are Andalas University, University of North Sumatra, University of Indonesia, Parahyangan University, Diponegoro University, University of Jember, Brawijaya University, Hasanuddin University and Muslim University of Indonesia.

Dian Agung Wicaksono, S.H, the coach of UGM team mentioned that at that time the UGM team raised the examination of MPRS Decree No. 25/MPRS/1996 on Dissolution of the Communist Party of Indonesia, Statement as the Forbidden Organization on the entire Territory of the Republic of Indonesia for the Indonesian Communist Party and Prohibition of Every Activity to Spread or Develop Ideology or Doctrine of the Communism/Marxism-Leninism in comparison to the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia Year 1945.

"It becomes interesting because usually the Constitutional Court only examines laws in compliance with the Constitution. This is where the central point is, which makes the Moot Court Competition on Constitutional Court Law examination full of jurisprudence, particularly state structure law, because the UGM Moot Court Team has to postulate to justify the argument that the Constitutional Court has the power to do examination on MPR/MPRS against Constitution," Dian said.

The UGM moot court team that was formed by state structure law community consists of 17 students. Nine of them act as constitutional judges, namely Mas Muhammad Gibran Sesunan, Syarif Fatahillah Harahap, Daitsya Megasari, Ghina Rahmatika, M. Aprian Wibowo, Ametta Diksa Wiraputra, Mohd. Sulthoni, Cipuk Wulan Adhasari, and Maratus Muslimah. Furthermore, there are Wahyudi as the principal petitioner, Wahyu Pamungkas as petitioner’s attorney, Aji Bagus Pramukti as government representative and Eva Pratama Nur Fitrianto as a parliament representative.

Furthermore, there are Moch. Adib Zain as petitioner’s expert, Akhyaroni Fuadah as a government expert, Bintang Wicaksono Aji as a clerk substitute, and Ika Nurhidayati as the trial officer. The team was also accompanied by four members of HTN community, namely Dian Agung Wicaksono, S.H, M.Fatahillah Akbar, S.H, Windi Afdal, and Laras Susanti.
