UGM, Halmahera University, and Khairun University have collaborated in spice research and academic innovation.
The spice research agreement was signed by the UGM Director of Research, Professor Mirwan Ushada, and the Head of the Institute for Research, Community Service, and Publication of Halmahera University, Bayu Achil Sadjab, on Thursday (3/8) in Tobelo, North Halmahera.
The collaboration includes research based on the diversity of spices, developing spice research, participating in coordinated and collaborative projects nationally and internationally, and in national and international research activities.
Additionally, it involves exchanging information related to project demands, conferences, discussions, and seminars, registering intellectual property rights for prototypes and/or research products, and commercializing research products.
The UGM Director of Academic Studies and Innovation, Dr. Hatma Suryatmojo, and the Vice Rector of Universitas Halmahera, Siryandaris Jitro Botara, were the representatives to sign the academic innovation agreement.
The scope of this agreement includes collaborating on developing learning resources for courses, developing audiovisual-based knowledge dissemination content, and developing collaborative online learning.
Furthermore, the agreement for academic innovation development with Khairun University was signed by the Head of the Institute for Education Development and Quality Assurance of Khairun University, Dr. Suratman Sudjud, and the Director of Academic Studies and Innovation of UGM, Dr. Hatma Suryatmojo.
This agreement encompasses the collaboration in developing learning resources for courses, creating audiovisual-based knowledge dissemination content, and the development of collaborative online learning.
The UGM Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Community Service, and Alumni, Dr. Arie Sujito, witnessed this signing event.
He hoped this collaboration would strengthen spice research and help unlock the potential in North Halmahera and contribute to the local community’s well-being, prosperity, and justice.
