Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) has once again achieved national recognition. At the 2025 Public Relations Media Awards (Anugerah Media Humas/AMH), organized by the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs through the Directorate General of Public Information and Communication (IKP), UGM secured two awards.
UGM received Third Place in the Social Media category for State Universities and First Place in the Audiovisual Media category. The awards were accepted directly by the University Secretary, Dr. Andi Sandi Antonius Tabusassa Tonralipu, during the AMH 2025 awarding ceremony held in Jakarta on Wednesday (Nov. 13).
Dr. Tonralipu stated that this achievement reflects recognition of the hard work of UGM’s public relations team in managing public communication with integrity and broad impact.
“AMH is one of the milestones in UGM’s public relations management. On one hand, this award serves as recognition of our PR work. On the other hand, it motivates us to continue improving our public relations efforts,” he said.
The AMH 2025 awards serve as a form of government appreciation for public institutions, including universities, that have successfully managed public communication and information in an effective, creative, and socially impactful manner.
“This event evaluates various aspects of public relations management, from content innovation and communication strategies to the ability to build strong connections with the wider public,” Dr. Tonralipu added.

Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs, Meutya Hafid, in her remarks, emphasized that the AMH awards are not merely a competition, but a recognition of the dedication of public relations professionals across Indonesia who maintain the flow of public information as clear and trustworthy.
She underscored the crucial role of PR in shaping positive narratives about the performance of public institutions and in strengthening public trust in the government.
Minister Hafid stated that the 2025 theme, “One Voice PR Collaboration for an Advanced Indonesia,” is highly relevant to current conditions.
In an era where information moves at lightning speed, she noted, collaboration among institutions and consistency in public messaging are essential to ensuring that development information is delivered accurately and widely to the public.
Furthermore, Hafid stressed that PR practitioners must continue to adapt, innovate, and collaborate to ensure that public messages are communicated quickly, accurately, and meaningfully.
She expressed hope that through AMH, each public institution will strengthen its communication capacity, enhance creativity, and expand the impact of information for society at large.
This achievement serves as motivation for UGM to continue improving the quality of its public communication. Through innovation across various media channels, UGM remains committed to expanding the dissemination of educational, inspiring, and publicly oriented information. This spirit aligns with UGM’s vision as a People’s Campus dedicated to serving and delivering meaningful contributions to the nation.
