UGM dan KPK Rancang Pendidikan Antikorupsi

Universitas Gadjah Mada has been selected by Anti-corruption Commission (KPK) as their partner to offer anti-corruption education in higher learning institutions. It is planned that the Commission and UGM will set up programme containing anti-corruption learning. Head of UGM Student Affairs Directorate, Dr. Senawi, expressed their readiness to realise this programme.

“We have several programme plans that are going to be submitted to the Commission and we are still coordinating with them,” said Senawi on Thursday (20/4).

Senawi said currently there was one programme being scrutinised by both parties, which is the anti-corruption education training for new students induction. Currently, they are devising materials on anti-corruption learning. Senawi said the material would be uploaded on the website to be accessed by the new students.

“Later on, reviews on such materials can be made in a forum group discussion of each student group,” said Senawi.

Senawi hoped the cooperation with the Commission on anti-corruption learning for students would run well and be beneficial. In his views, corruption is an enemy very dangerous to the Indonesian state so that building character awareness is needed not to commit corruption through anti-corruption education programme. He added that character building that includes to be an honest student needs to be instilled as the foundation of anti-corruption behaviour.

“UGM wishes to be the tower of meanings, one of those is by giving anti-corruption education,” Senawi concluded.
