Governor of Jakarta, Pramono Anung Wibowo, popularly known as Bang Nung, launched his biography titled Panggung Depan Panggung Belakang at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). It narrates his life journey over 25 years working behind the scenes until 2025, when he was elected as Governor of Jakarta.
“I hope this book will bring inspiration and motivation to Gadjah Mada students in pursuing their aspirations,” said Bang Nung via Zoom video call during the book discussion held at Graha Sabha Pramana UGM on Wednesday (Sep. 11).
Bang Nung expressed his joy at being able to discuss the book with the UGM academic community, noting that both he and his wife, Endang Nugrahani, are proud alumni of UGM.
Recalling his time as a student in the MBA program of FEB UGM in 1988, he shared that his campus life was not only about gaining knowledge but also about finding a life partner.
“And, alhamdulillah, I found a good wife who has supported me in every step of my career,” he said with a light laugh.
On this occasion, he also expressed his happiness to return to Universitas Gadjah Mada, bringing inspiration to its students.
Rector of Universitas Gadjah Mada, Professor Ova Emilia, congratulated and appreciated the launch of Panggung Depan Panggung Belakang by Bung Nung.
Professor Emilia emphasized that the book is not merely a record of personal life but also a source of inspiration for readers, especially the younger generation.
“On behalf of the leadership, I warmly welcome this discussion and hope it serves not only as a space for literary appreciation but also as a platform for students to learn from the experiences of a distinguished figure such as Mr. Pramono Anung,” she concluded.
