The delegation from the Jamaah Shalahuddin Student Activity Unit of Universitas Gadjah Mada (JS UGM) achieved an impressive accomplishment at the 22nd National Forum for Campus Da’wah Institutions (FSLDKN XXII), held from April 5-19, 2026. FSLDK serves as a communication forum for campus da’wah organizations across Indonesia, working constructively and collaboratively to build a unified, cohesive da’wah movement.
FSLDKN is an annual event hosted in different locations each year. This year, Malang brought together numerous campus da’wah institutions from across the country. The forum featured four competition categories: debate, essay writing, short film, and photography. In the competition, JS UGM won one gold medal in debate, one silver medal in essay writing, and bronze medals in both the short film and photography categories.

The JS UGM debate team consisted of Muhammad Ahlam Dzulkarnaen from SV UGM, Muhammad Dzaki Musyaffa from Law UGM, and Saddam Syaikh Arrais from FIB UGM. The essay team comprised Athar Rosyad Partadireja from Psychology UGM, Nur Anah from SV UGM, and Muhammad Isma Maqoli Ula from FT UGM. The same team members also represented UGM in the short film competition. Meanwhile, Imroatus Salma from FTP UGM participated in the photography competition.
As one of the student organizations that helped initiate FSLDKN, JS UGM actively contributed to the competitions during the event. The organization fully supported qualified members in participating in the competitions. Mentoring and training programs helped participants prepare more thoroughly for the event.
Muhammad Ahlam Dzulkarnaen, Chair of JS UGM, said the team faced no major obstacles during preparation. The competitions took place amid academic commitments, and participants came from different faculties, creating challenges in coordinating training schedules and preparing materials. However, these circumstances did not hinder the delegation. The approximately 20 days available for preparation were utilized effectively across all competition categories.
“Due to academic commitments, some members were only able to attend training sessions for a few days,” he said on Wednesday (Jun. 3).
Ahlam also expressed his delight at having the opportunity to compete and win the debate competition. The event provided valuable opportunities to meet and build connections with members of campus da’wah organizations from across Indonesia.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to win while also meeting fellow members of Islamic student organizations from various universities,” he said.
He hopes that future editions of the forum will feature a wider variety of competition categories and attract more participants. More diverse competitions would further increase participants’ enthusiasm for taking part in the forum.
