Urban and Regional Planning Bachelor Study Program covers the understanding of cities and regions as a habitual space where human activities intermingled in a complex system. Students are introduced to planning challenges such as land scarcity, excessive urban growth, environmental deterioration, and social conflicts and trained to provide innovative solutions for those complex and wicked problems. Students are taught as professional planners who provide the prescriptions for “urban and regional disorders” to create a better space and better living.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of their study, Urban and Regional Planning graduates will become a professional planner with the mastery of spatial planning, uphold work integrity, equipped with the ability to perform research, innovation, and highly adaptive to actual and future issues concerning urban and regional planning. This is in compliance with the National Working Competency Standard for Urban and Regional Planner (Standar Kompetensi Kerja Nasional No 177 Tahun 2015 tentang Perencana Tata Ruang Wilayah dan Kota) and have been acknowledged by the Indonesian Planning School Association (Asosiasi Sekolah Perencana Indonesia).

Career Prospects

Career prospect for Urban and Regional Planning graduates is provided with many opportunities. Currently, our alumni have been working as government employee (such as in Ministry of Public Works, National Planning Board, Local Planning Offices), planning consultants, non-governmental organizations (national and international), universities and research institutions. Many of our alumni also choose to continue their study to a master or a profession degree. In fact, there are 505 cities and 34 provinces in Indonesia, which in constant need of urban and regional planners. The average waiting time from graduation to the first employment is 3-5 months.

IDR 500,000 – 12,500,000 per semester depends on the economic ability of the student’s family (tuition fee reduction or waiver can be proposed by submitting letter of request, which will be evaluated by the financial department of the study program).
