UGM is a Campus With the Most Enthusiasts for the 2020 National Selection of State University Entrance

UGM Jadi Kampus Dengan Peminat Terbanyak SBMPTN 2020

Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) became the university with the most enthusiasts in the 2020 National Selection of State University Entrance. The total number of enthusiasts reached up to 62,507. This data is as issued by LTMPT on Friday (14/8). After UGM, there are also UB (61,743), UNPAD (56,446), UI (54,897), UNS (51,974), UNDIP (51,418), UPI (45,767), UNY (42,592), USU (41,907), and UNJ (39,524). Based on the LTMPT page, UGM Medicine is also considered as the Science and Technology Study Program with the highest UTBK score of 642.53.

In determining the National Selection of State University Entrance results, the total number of participants who passed the selection at 85 State Universities (PTN) throughout Indonesia was 167,653 people. The number of participants who passed was the result of the 2020 National Selection of State University Entrance registrants as many as 702,420 people, with details of Non-KIP Lecture Applicants totaling 546,370 people and Applicants Owning College KIP Registration Numbers as many as 156,050 people. The participants who were declared to have passed consisted of 123,099 Non-KIP Lecture Participants and 44,554 Lecture KIP Registration Number Owners.

Vice-Chancellor for Education, Teaching and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. Djagal Wiseso Marseno, M.Agr., said that at the 2020 National Selection of State University Entrance of UGM received 2,518 prospective students.

"The 2,518 student candidates are divided into 1,777 people accepted in the Science and Technology field and 741 in the Social Sciences field. Meanwhile, 336 student candidates accepted through the KIP Lecture route and 2,182 regular students," he said.

The study programs with the highest number of enthusiasts for Science and Technology are Medicine, Pharmacy, Information Technology, Civil Engineering, and Dentistry. Meanwhile, the Soshum includes Psychology, Law, Management, Communication, and Accounting Study Programs. Meanwhile, the study programs with the highest compliance for Science and Technology are Medicine, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Information Technology, and Architecture. As for Social Humaniora, it includes Communication Studies, International Relations, Management, Tourism, and Korean Language and Culture.

The freshmen candidates accepted at UGM must register and upload the required documents via um.ugm.ac.id/admission from 15 to August 20, 2020, at 23.59 WIB. The freshman candidates will lose their rights as freshmen of the UGM Undergraduate Program for the Academic Year 2020/2021 if, by August 20, 2020, at 23.59 WIB, they do not complete their bio-data and upload documents according to the applicable procedures and regulations.
