Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM)’s Raja Garuda Community organized the 2025 Anti-Drug Ambassador Selection at the Tropical Biology Auditorium, Faculty of Biology, on Sunday (Nov. 23).
The Grand Final night of the 2025 UGM Anti-Drug Ambassador Selection named four ambassadors, namely Neyla Ikhsyaniyah Balqis (Faculty of Pharmacy) as First Ambassador, Dinaesy Fadillah Hidayat (Faculty of Cultural Sciences) as Second Ambassador, Kelvin Anggoro Febriansyah (Faculty of Geography), and Alya Dzakira Riyandi (Faculty of Agriculture) as the Favorite Ambassador.
The First Ambassador, Neyla Ikhsyaniyah Balqis, expressed her gratitude and pride, along with a strong sense of readiness to carry a significant responsibility.
According to Balqis, the title is not merely an award but a mandate that demands absolute commitment to creating a positive impact for society, particularly within the campus community. She acknowledged the need to serve as a role model and to deepen her understanding of the dangers of substance abuse, illegal online loans, and online gambling.
“Ultimately, what I feel is a strong drive to continue learning, serving, and becoming a bridge of information for the community, especially the younger generation within the UGM campus,” she said on Friday (Dec. 12).

According to Balqis, every individual needs to equip themselves with accurate knowledge about the dangers of narcotics and their impact on the future. She added that a supportive, respectful, and non-judgmental environment is essential so that those who have fallen into substance abuse have the space and opportunity to recover and rise again.
“Choosing to stay away from drugs is the greatest investment in our future. We must work together to build a strong, aware, and empowered generation, the one that can stand firmly without dependence on any harmful substances,” she emphasized.
The Chairperson of the Raja Garuda UGM Community, Mazaya Kumala, also expressed hope that the selected ambassadors would remain committed to the title they hold over the next year.
“I hope our ambassadors will consistently commit to implementing prevention programs, especially within the UGM campus environment, and be able to bring positive change to the campus,” she said.
According to Kumala, the initiative serves as a collaborative platform for various stakeholders to expand the reach of anti-drug campaigns and other risk-prevention efforts.
Through the 2025 UGM Anti-Drug Ambassador Selection, Universitas Gadjah Mada reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a healthy, safe campus environment that supports student development free from substance abuse. The selected winners are expected to become active and inspiring agents of change in carrying out advocacy missions both within UGM and in the broader community.
