Again, PSKP UGM Held Human Rights Discussion

Still commemorating Human Rights Week 2009, the Security and Peace Center of Study (PSKP), UGM, in cooperation with the Solidarity Action Committee for Munir (Kasum) again held a discussion with the topic of “Human Rights, Human Security and Peace: cases of Aceh and Papua”. The discussion was held on Wednesday (2/9) at Meeting Room A, Postgraduate Building, UGM.


Up to now, there is still discontinuity of Human Rights Upholding, improvement of human security quality and peace in Indonesia. In that discussion the cases of Aceh and Papua were analyzed deeper. The cases were used to describe the relationship of three variables (Human Rights, human security and peace) and to evaluate them.


The discussion aimed to encourage understanding and equal actions between Human Rights upholding and improvement of human security in Indonesia. Hence, in the end Human Rights culture will become part of National Civilization and foundation to the improvement of human security quality.
