UGM continues to build communication and synergy with community around the campus. One of the efforts made is by holding a gathering with stakeholders in Mlati and Depok areas of Sleman regency.
In the event taking place on Tuesday (12/4) at the Main Office, there were 20 chiefs of villages in Mlati and Depok. The community representatives together with Rector of UGM and University Leadership had dialogue to think about the policy taken for the goodness and advancement of UGM and community around the campus related to the campus environmental management.
UGM Rector, Prof. Ir. Sudjarwadi, M.Eng., Ph.D., expected that the gathering will produce ideas that can support the implementation of program and advancement of UGM and create positive impact for the community around the campus. “The meeting this time serves as a forum to gather ideas for UGM and UGM Team who will further consult with heads of villages,” he said.
Meanwhile, one of community representatives, Head of Blimbingsari Village, welcomed the forum. He hoped the forum can be sustainably held. “There are many matters that can be discussed together in this forum,” he said.
Attending the forum were Senior Vice Rector of Administration, Finance and Human Resources, Vice Rector of Alumni and Business Development, Executive Secretary, Director of Asset Management and Maintenance, Director of Planning and Development, Director of Student Affairs as well as Head of Campus Security Unit of UGM.
