UGM once again held a job market entitled Career Days IX 2011 'Fresher, Smarter, Winner'. The event at Ghra Sabha Pramana (GSP) is held for two days, Friday-Saturday (22 to 23 July 2011). On the first opening day today, thousands of job seekers have flocked to GSP since the morning.

UGM ECC Director, Nurhadi, S.T, said that up until now there are thousands of college graduates who are unemployed and have not been recruited for work. This can be seen from the increasing number of job seekers in every job market. "The job market is expected to help job seekers, especially college graduates to get jobs," said Nurhadi, Friday (22/7).

On the occasion, Nurhadi said that in February, the number of visitors of the job market reached 15 thousand people. At the current job market the number of visitors is expected to be greater than before. Nurhadi explained, in the current job market the number of participating companies is 73 participants.

Meanwhile, Dean of the UGM Faculty of Engineering, Ir. Tumiran, M. Eng., Ph.D., in his speech said his optimism that a bridge between the needs of educational institutions and industry will be built through the implementation of Career Days IX 2011. "The university and industry are now getting closer. The synergy between the two parties is expected to be continuously built in order to bring stability to the sector of industry infrastructure in Indonesia," he explained.

On the other hand, Vice Rector of Alumni Affairs and Business Development, Prof. Ir. Atyanto Dharoko, M. Phil., in his speech mentions several things that help enhance the empowerment of qualified human resources in Indonesia. "The efforts of nation building are likely to be achieved by variety of efforts such as the implementation of Career Days IX 2011," says Prof. Atyanto before beating the gong as a sign of official opening of the Career Days IX 2011.
