Universitas Gadjah Mada Academic Hospital (RSA UGM) once again held its routine Pasar Krempyeng Rebo Wage, also known as BOGE, on Wednesday (Jan. 22), with the theme “Let Children Smile Healthily, Grow Strong.”
This theme was chosen to raise public awareness, especially among parents, about the importance of maintaining children’s dental health and providing healthy food for their growth and development in celebration of National Nutrition Day 2025.
President Director of RSA UGM, Dr. Darwito, stated that Pasar Krempyeng offered a lively and enjoyable market atmosphere and provided health education to the community through creative and interactive means.
“This event is expected to encourage the public to be more aware of children’s health, especially in terms of dental care and nutrition,” said Dr. Darwito in his statement sent to journalists Friday (Jan. 24).
The event at RSA UGM’s northern parking lot featured engaging and beneficial activities, including a health talk show titled “Healthy Teeth, Happy Smiles for Indonesian Children.”
The talk show featured professional health experts from RSA UGM who shared the importance of children’s dental care and tips on maintaining healthy teeth early on.
“We are encouraging children to care for and maintain their dental health,” he added.
In addition to the talk show, there was also a cooking demonstration with the theme “Creative Children’s Menu: Delicious and Tooth-Friendly,” showcasing various healthy recipes suitable for children while instilling the habit of consuming food supporting dental health.
Moreover, a variety of products from Universitas Gadjah Mada and local MSMEs were exhibited and sold, offering visitors the opportunity to support local products while enjoying healthy meals and free health checkups.
“Visitors can also take advantage of the free health screening services provided at the event,” he said.
