Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) and Bank Central Asia (BCA) have established a partnership to provide services for paying Single Tuition Fees (UKT) through the BCA Virtual Account Online facility and the Application Programming Interface (API).
This cooperation charter was signed by UGM Vice-Rector for Human Resources and Finance Professor Supriyadi and BCA Director Antonius Widodo at the UGM Central Office on Friday (Sep. 27).
Professor Supriyadi expressed his optimism about the partnership, which is set to last for the next five years. He hopes that the cooperation between UGM and BCA will not be limited to banking services but will also extend to providing educational scholarships.
“Hopefully, BCA’s support will help facilitate students in paying their UKT and contribute to the development of talent at UGM in the future,” he said.
Antonius Widodo expressed his pride in the partnership with UGM, as BCA became the first bank to offer an Application Programming Interface (API) option for UKT payments at UGM.
“This feature will later be available to make it easier for students or parents to pay their UKT,” he explained.
Additionally, Widodo mentioned that this API would simplify the university’s integrated oversight of fund management and incoming UKT payments through the myBCA application.
On this occasion, Widodo also noted that around 400 UGM graduates have joined BCA. According to him, these graduates are not only from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB UGM) or economics-related fields but also from nearly all disciplines at UGM.
“There are alumni who studied in the Anthropology program and others from the Faculty of Philosophy who are now branch managers,” he shared.
In concluding his remarks, Widodo expressed his hope that BCA’s facilities would enable UGM to provide excellent and inclusive student services and help UGM become the best higher education institution.
