Celebrating 66th Anniversary of UGM, many events are lined up, consisting of science, art, culture and sport events. One of annual sport events was Marathon Cycling (Bluxpit). It has started since 2003 (Surabaya-Yogyakarta) and 2014 (Bandung-Yogyakarta). Initially, the marathon cycling was started by S3GAMA (Sepeda Sehat Semua Gadjah Mada) and faculty members in GAMAGO (Gadjah Mada Gowes).

In 2015, Bluxpit is back in the game from December 11th-13th 2015, bringing up Sinergy of BluXpit, Bromo-Merapi Adventure, covering 366 km from Malang  in East Java to Yogyakarta in Central Java.

“The number 366 has unique philosophy, which are:  the number 3 for the 3rd time BluXpit event has been held, the number 66 for 66th anniversary of UGM,” Hatma Suryatmojo, committee head, explained on Wednesday (12/10)
This event was aimed to introduce UGM as Bicycle Friendly University, especially to the people along the way. This event was also meant to raise synergy among UGM Alumni.

BluXpit 2015 will depart from Malang City Square to Blitar, Kediri, Nganjuk, Ngawi, Solo, Jogja and Balairung UGM where the finish line would be placed. BluXpit will be divided to 3 stages, the first stage is Malang-Nganjuk 155 km, second stage Nganjuk Solo 145 km, and the third stage Solo-Jogja 66 km. This event involved 150 cyclists that consisted of UGM faculty members, alumni, partners, and members of the public.

Members of the public who want to join this event could go to assembly point at Prambanan Temple on Sunday, December 13th 2015 at 08.00 hours to ride a bike together to Balairung UGM.
