UGM Community Service Program: Technopark-Based Innovation of Beef Cattle in Bojonegoro

Amount of 29 KKN PPM UGM students began to carry out community service activities in Temayang, Bojonegoro, East Java. The program started with an online UGM PPN KKN team reception event which was attended by the Bojonegoro Regent, Hj. Anna Mu'awanah, and the Heads of Service and Deputy Deans of the Academic and Student Affairs FKH UGM, drh. Agung Budiyanto, M.P., Ph.D.

Agung Budiyanto, in his remarks, conveyed that in the situation of the Covid-19 pandemic the implementation of the Community Service program must be conducted online. Even so, he hopes that this activity is not to discourage KKM PPM UGM Temayang students from undergoing community service.

"KKN students who are members of the Tim Sayang Temayang Siap Menyayangi Temayang will compile a Technopark-based of beef cattle region in Jono Village, Temayang District, Bojonegoro Regency, East Java," he said on Tuesday (6/30).

Besides, the students will also carry out various program activities to encounter New Normal online. These activities include manufacturing antiseptics and disinfectants from herbal ingredients, management strategies for livestock groups, MSMEs, cultural actors in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic.

Bojonegoro Regent, Hj. Anna Mu'awanah, who was present at the acceptance of KKN PPM UGM students online, hoped that KKN students could carry out community service activities in Bojonegoro thoroughly. They hope that the students can help solve problems that occur in the community so that the final result can be a reference to support the development and development of the village.

At the end of the online KKN PPM UGM activity receiving session, a technical discussion organized with the representatives of the Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) of Bojonegoro Regency, Temayang District Head, Jono Village Head, and several representatives from the Kedung Gondang Livestock Group.

There are also some parties present at the PPM UGM online KKN student reception. They were the Head of the Bojonegoro Regency Bappeda, the Head of the Bojonegoro Regency Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Office, the Head of the Bojonegoro District Agriculture Officer, the Head of the Bojonegoro Regency Culture and Tourism Office. There is also Dr. Moh. Mashuri, M.Hum as regional coordinator of KKN-PPM UGM East Java, Lecturer of Temayang KKN Field Advisor, drh. Anggi Muhtar Pratama, M.Sc, Temayang District Head, Jono Village Head and the Kedung Gondang Livestock Group in Temayang District.
