UGM Students Train 21 Family Prosperity Units in Kulon Progo

Kulon Progo (KU) – Students joining the KKN PPM UGM (Student Community Service Community Empowerment Program) trained 21 groups of Income Improvement for Prosperous Family Unit (UPPKS) in Margosari and Sendangsari villages in Pengasih sub-district of Kulon Progo regency. As many as 15 groups are located in Margosari and 6 in Sendangsari. The information was stated by Head of Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) UGM, Prof. Dr. Ir. Danang Parikesit, M.Sc. He and a delegation visited the location of KKN PPM in Kulon Progo on Friday (28/5).



In addition, Danang also expected the students to analyse the indicators of the success of program that is run in the field. The indicators will be used for evaluation and reference for the continuation of KKN PPM program. β€œIt's impossible to make families prosperous within two months. The program is sustainable,” he added. According to Danang, some issues to be observed as indicators of success are income, health, education, and life expectancy index.
