Retno added the construction of water networks is one of the

research-based themes that was raised in the deployment programs of a

total of 4580 KKN PPM students. "The theme of KKN PPM is always

research-based. Each year we deploy over 6000 students," she said.

Bantul Vice Regent, Drs. H Sumarno, delivered, community development is

not sufficient if only in the form of physical development. , What's

more important is the continuation of the development that is achieved

through public awareness to manage the construction result. "It all

depends on the community, of how they manage the sustainability," he

said. In the mean time, Chairman of BAZNAS, Prof. Dr. Didin Hafidhuddin,

expected that the clean water network pipeline would be beneficial to

society.

To meet the  needs for residents who have not clean water distribution, second phase of water installations construction is being planned. "We will build a single reservoir, 7 Public Hydrants with 2000 meters pipe in length," said Field Lecturer,  Muhammad Sulaiman, ST, MT.

Senior Vice Rector for Education, Research and Community Service, Prof. Dr. Retno S. Soedibyo, M.Sc., Apt, says that water shortage also occurs in many other areas in the region of Bantul and Gunung Kidul. "The same thing also happened in other areas, I think this kind of cooperation needs to be done," she said.
