The “D4=S1†Team from the Electronics State Polytechnic of Surabaya (PENS) have won the 2009 Indonesian National Robot Competition (KRI) and will represent Indonesia in the International Robot Competition ABU Roboccon in Tokyo Japan. The Surabayanese Robot defeated 2 other robots in the final round on Saturday (14/6) at the Grha Sabha Pramana UGM. UGM’s “Patriot†was in the 2nd position while Indonesian Education University (UPI)’s “Shiraru†were in the 3rd position.
D4=S1 succeeded in doing his tasks and perform above the jury’s standard. This robot smoothly passed the obstacles and finished the mission in 54 seconds. “We train, trial and compete a lot and we put safety first and avoid the occurrence of error, that’s the key of our success,†said the programmer of D4=S1 Hisyam. However, the team will soon concentrate and focus to prepare for the international competition that will be held in Tokyo, 22nd August.
Other awards that were given in the KRI categories goes to “K’yuh B’imbay†(The best design; State Polytechnic of Banjarmasin); “Zhafarul Zero Hepta†(The Best Innovation; Malang Muhammadiyah University) “Djodja X-01†(The best IT, UGM).
Meanwhile at the Indonesian Smart Robot Competition (KRCI):
• Wheeled Robots Senior Division winners: “DU114-V9†(1st position; Indonesian Computer University of Bandung); “N4HL†(2nd Place; Brawijaya University) and “Bonang†(3rd Place; UGM).
• Footed Robots Division winners: “Power of Dreams†(1st place; ITB) “Phoenix-ER†(2nd place; Tarumanegara University) and “JoAD’s_VICTâ€(3rd place; Batam Polytechnic).
• expert single division winners: “XT Bimasena†(1st place; LPKTA Yogyakarta); “Al-‘Adiyat†(2nd place; PENS); and “NIRU-112â€, (3rd place; Indonesian Computer University).
• Expert Battle Division winners: “DEWO†(1st place; PENS); “Djodja X-01†(2nd place; UGM) and “Ghen_GR†(3rd place, PENS).
Meanwhile at the Indonesian Art Robots Competition (KRSI), the “Elit†(National Technology Institute of Malang) won the 1st place. The second position went to “Marawis†from Bhayangkara University of Surabaya, while the “SRI†from Elektronika State Polytechnic of Surabaya (PENS) won the third place.
